Matthew Grant is a professor of teacher education focusing on physical education and sport coaching pedagogy. His latest research focuses on the history of physical education (1865-1900) and the foundations of this field of study in the U.S. This line of inquiry will continue to expand forward in time as well as connect to physical education in other parts of the world.
